these visitors that he was surprised to see, were sucked in by the rosy pictures of the boulevard etc tce cet
but on arrival all whole new scene
my tuppence worth these visitors will not be rushing to return or give a good account to their korean or chinese buddies
soon enough they will be classed as long noses (long pockets), and will be priced out of the sub standard food, brownouts (try explaing to our visitors about brown out), or the famous "wait please"

long way from Beijing for Xi Xi to visit the john, or Subi to visit from Seoul just to p*ss on the new tiles

"Just visit the toilets of our tourism destinations here about and judge for yourself if it is worthy of foreign visitors who are very particular about cleanliness of toilets, comfort rooms or johns whatever you call it. Just make them clean and spanky."

and just imagine the local "five 0 or gendarmerie" licking their lips at all the easy money flowing from the ferries, just waiting to be relieved of all the lovely RMB and WON they have no need for whilst here in the tropical island of "fxxx you foreigner)

The public toilet at the "tourist police" end of the boulevard is fantastic. There is a full time attendant lady who keeps it clean and charges 2 pesos to pee and 5 for the other. Of course the port-a-potties at the opposite end of the boulevard are . . well I'm not brave enough to try them. But the really nice one brings to mind an old rhyme from my childhood that I shall adapt for Philippines:

    Here I sit, broken hearted,
    Paid 5 pesos, only farted.
    Yesterday I took a chance
Saved 5P but shite my pants.
