With so much conflicting advice from the 'X-Spurt brigade' (X being an unknown and spurt being a drip under pressure) it is a wonder all the unknown drips under pressure here actually have a job... :o o:

So; 13a/permanent residents pay 2600 php per year then or will that rise also? :o o:

Well according to them it should be 17000 - the 2400 we used to pay so 1400+ seems to be what they want
    BUT :banghead:

I am of the understanding all permanent visa holders will pay a new rate of 15,500 in July, not the old rate. A guy verified this at Philhealth at the mall a couple days ago. No more old rate for foreigners.

If they increase the price of this health cover and its the same conditions as before there will be alot of foreigners who will opt for a different service with their wives.
Lets hope jp is right with the info he got a few weeks back!

There is no doubt that new accounts for foreigners will be at the new rate but it is existing accounts that seem to be in question. We all know how things are here and ask 3 different people and get 3 different answers. The Question here is WHO is a dependent and will they follow the Law? Scratching Head.jpg

My wife just asked (again) at SUMC's Phil Health desk the other day on our way out and was told as others have been that call Phil Health/MNL that the old rates will apply to married expat permanent residents.. Guess we'll see what happens come July?

Just saw this on an American guys Facebook post, he calls himself "Dr D**e" and is married to a Filipina, (so maybe he knows something others here do not) could be of help to some who are looking for extra cover...

I have Blue Cross Federal and there is no hospital on the "in network/approved" list in Dumaguete (several in Cebu and Manila)- the last I looked -which was recently- I will definitely contact their overseas support line and see if the provider list is possibly out-of -date..
