**Theresa May has called a snap general election on June 8, with a plea to British voters to put their trust in her to deliver a good result from Brexit. Making her shock announcement, the Prime Minister claimed divisions at Westminster risked jeopardising the negotiations to pull the UK out of the European Union.** May calls general election as she seeks mandate for Brexit negotiations – Gibraltar Chronicle Taken from the Daily Paper where it matters more than people realize.
Tories will win by a mile, that's why she's gambling on an easy win. Corbyn has not a chance and the libs have no chance, Ukip might win a few seats.
The lib dems are dead, and like you say jim labour are in such a mess it will never happen for them, its a win win situation for the tories. Not that i will bother voting this time as theyre all as bad as each other and the tories only look after their own kind as we know.
Agreed BUT just remember the Madrid Bombings and how the whole of Spain turned. A day in the life of Politics can be so precarious
Agree with you all lol...this was naked opportunism when she's on record two months ago saying "no snap election, 2020 is the date"...and blaming the other partys for forcing her to change her mind to boot. "Och a big boy did it and ran away" type of thinking. Corbyn has finished the Labour Party as a credible opposition or party of government, no-one trusts the LibDems and frankly the loonies in UKIP won't make a shade of difference. My prediction? Theresa May by a country mile in England, the only other winner being Sturgeon in Scotland, perhaps Leanne Wood in Wales and we all get shafted whoever wins. Happy days.
That describes Australian Politics very accurately hence why I chose to tick the box; "I do not wish to vote whilst living out of the country"...
