I like kebab, so happy, when I find a place in Dumaguete, where they serve delicious kebab and other kind of turkish/greek food. Food is tasty and fresh, they sell organic yogurt to, owner is from Turkey, really sympathetic guy. He buy cow milk of a local farmer and bring yogurt culture from Turkey, 750 ml cost 120 peso. He deliver to Why Not and other restobars and resorts to. Taste are individual, but hes dressing made by turkish pepper is the best I taste in Philippines. Location, corner of Sta.Catalina street and Noblefranca Street.

Yes, that's the place. Kebabs have authentic taste, it's good for lunch and snack on the way, not really a restaurant. Prices are fair, 80-100 peso for kebab. They serve some vegetarian foods to and have rice for your filipina gf to

I forgot about the Rice, we all know they would die if they don't get it 3x a day! lol We will be going there later in the week for sure!

I realised after I posted the question the name of the shop was on the Post's heading :bag: but could not edit it due to yet another brownout today! :bored: (2x so far, hopefully no more like the 4x yesterday... *touch wood*)

Tried them out today, met the Owner and his Wife, VERY NICE couple!

Today's Special was buy one Beef Kebab get one Chicken Kebab Free! We tried both Kebabs, and while smaller than what I use to buy back in Oz, they were very tasty! (I ate TWO to make up for that! hehe)

Also tried his Home made Yogurt! Mine was plain with pureed Avocado and sliced Mango, I declined the sugar to sweeten it and despite being a lil sour as plain Yogurt usually is, I found it nice! Wife and Daughter were somewhat hesitant as they have never eaten plain Yogurt before, theirs had the Mango pureed in it and it did help to spread the flavour but lacking the sweetness, their Filipino taste buds were, well; taken aback a lil... (The Owner's Wife who is Filipina did warn them of that!) lol

We also sampled his stuffed/rolled Cabbage, these are Vegetarian, nice but as a carnivore, I must admit that the Vegie Brigade are really missing out on living without the meat I am accustomed to in Stuffed Cabbage Rolls!

He also makes his own Cheese, this would be great to add to Salads as it has a wet consistency to it unlike the cheese you can slice.

Next time I would love to try his Italian Spaghetti as he imports his own Spices, so am very interested in trying that out as well as his Meat Balls (I forget the Turkish name for these) as they are made from Beef and look YUMMY in the pics! :woot:

They are situated on the street (Cnr) so you sit on the footpath to eat. I enjoyed my short time there and was surprised by many of the local Tricycle Drivers friendly acknowledging smiles and thumbs up, would most certainly make a new comer very welcome to Dumaguete! Who knew eating outside on the Footpath could be so much fun!

The rolled cabbage vegitarian is called dolmer in Turkey/Greece and the homemade cheese is feta. I ordered some feta for pick up. If I remember right, it's 300 peso for 750 gram. Me to like the atmosphere in the place, owner is a nice guy and customers, hard to explain, but different from McDonald, lol
