Don't know if Valencia residents are aware, but the bridge just before Tejeros was washed away during the deluge yesterday. Another job for Philsouth.

Its good to be kept informed of things like that but it makes me wonder: How do the people on the Tejeros side of the river get back to Valencia now?

What I wonder about, is why don't they build these bridges 15' above the river bed. I have my own opinion. Perhaps a zip line would be an alternative to a new bridge.

Check out their building standard and you will know why! There was never anything wrong with having a spillway there, the water flowed across when it flooded and returned to normal after.

Do you mean the water has gone and the crossing is now passable? That would be nice but its hard to tell from the pic how much damage has been done to the road.

I went to look about 30 minutes ago. Muddy on the Forest Camp side (6-12 inch deep maybe) but passable, watched a dozen or so cars/pickups/motorcycles take turns in each direction. I stayed on the Valencia side as didn't see a reason to get muddy twice.
