Having had repeat problems with charging on my Lenovo laptop (I dropped it and made the case weak around the usb-style charging socket and when the stick-out plug is knocked it levers up the case and messes up the wiring inside) so I intend to place my laptop on a plywood (or similar) board of size (approx) 42 cm x 32 cm x 0.9 cm and secure the charging plug to the board. So (1) Is plywood sold here? (2) Do they sell 'offcuts'? (3) Is there a more suitable wood for my purpose? 4) Where to buy in or near Dumaguete downtown? Btw, I hate the Lenovo charging plug as it sticks out of the side and is easily knocked (esp. as I use my laptop whilst in an armchair); I have been told that Lenovo is using that charging system on all their laptops now and, on that basis, I would suggest avoiding that make.
furniture shops should have plywood scraps and can cut one to size for you. try the shop between robinsons mall and the bridge where the bambú venders are. it's on the seaside of the road, next to avon sales.
