Seeing as how a pic is better than words here is a pic. He replaces those bamboo poles as needed but they last for years so long as there is no typhoon or huge storm
just a question by the side; did you get or do you need any permission from local offices to build such cottages, and if; how or where did you get that? I would be very interested if you share your experiences.
In the case I posted a pic of, the owner needed a foreshore lease and permission from DENR, which reminds me of another reason its all made of bamboo. He can call it a temporary structure and get permission from DENR. For a concrete foundation that's a whole 'nother permit.

Can anyone recommend a carpentry crew or carpenter that runs a crew / business doing quality work at decent prices..Not one that has the typical "overcharge a foreinger mentality" and is somewhat reputable (ie: shows up for work sober, on time, gets work completed within a reasonable time frame)
