Sounds like the US is taking the si vic pacem, para bellum (Latin) approach. "If you want peace, prepare for war". Sure hope it doesn't happen.
North Korea says it is considering missile strikes near the US Pacific territory of Guam, just hours after President Donald Trump threatened Pyongyang with "fire and fury". The North's official news agency said it was mulling a plan to fire medium-to-long-range rockets around Guam, where US strategic bombers are based. The statement marks a sharp rise in rhetoric between the two countries. The UN recently approved further economic sanctions against the country. President Trump's comments followed a media report that claimed the North had made a nuclear warhead small enough to fit inside its missiles. The Washington Post report, which cited US intelligence officials, suggests North Korea is developing nuclear weapons capable of hitting the US at a much faster rate. You say it's complete nonsense, so that means it's complete nonsense? Ain't that the kind of thinking that got is into all the other wars?
You say it's a fact, so that means it's a fact? You made the claim, the burden of proof is on you. "All wars are planned and set up just the way they want it to happen." Who is "they"?
Sometimes it is because two, or more, organisations, be they countries or other, have different opinions/values and want to defend them to the death. When this is due to despotic leaders it is because, of course, such leaders pass the test of 'survival of the fittest' by dominating or eliminating all those 'more fit'.
Some people think when dealing with a crazy person, you should lower yourself to their level, others believe you should rise above them..... If we want to rattle the saber, it's seems that North Korea is more of a threat than Iraq ever was, so why not just take the same approach as we did with Iraq? China maybe?
