Some background before the question. My partner and I (Both British) have the opportunity to visit family in Bangkok in January for a few days, we have only just received our 1st two month extension, we have both applied for the ACR card and understand this could take some time to be approved. We have the little strip of paper from the BI stapled in our passports to prove we have applied for the ACR. My question is, will we be ok to leave Phil and return without going through the whole process of the 59 days visa cycle saga again. Thank you all in advance for your thoughts.
Nope. You'll have to start over after you return. The icard is the only exception, that should be good for a year.
Exactly the same answer I was going to say, including the word 'Nope" LOL. I will add there is no problem with picking up your icard after you return from Thailand. It will still be at BI and valid. You may want to avail of the 59 day at the airport upon your return to save an extra trip to BI. Just ask for it Before you hand your passports over to the immigration officer upon arrival back in the Philippines.
I just arrived terminal 3 on 30 day free tourist visa an asked for extension 29 days immigration told can't be done at airport so now i am confused .
Did you ask before or after you handed over your passport? Once stamped for 30 days they will not change it. Sometimes if supervisor is on break they will say it can't be done unless you want to wait, you have to ask why.
