Greetings, My first post here. From Manchester, England, with Manila as a second home, and Chiang Mai a third during the Winter months. I'm here for a month, just to check it out. Staying at Dumaguete Springs Near LP HyperMart (oh the joy when i discovered they have Brown Pasta!). Anyway, if there is anyone here that needs a little help with anything online - that's kinda what i do. Buy me a beer, a coffee, introduce me to your wife's cute Sister, tell me all your Duma secrets and you can pick my brain as you wish (it won't take long). I've copied and pasted my brief bio below and also included my Linkedin profile below. Please connect with me there, particularly if you're a business/entrepreneur/freelance type (yeah, i know so many jokes, so little time). Cheers Nick Former professional DJ & music producer turned property investor, conversion copywriter and digital marketer. Works remotely between the UK and South East Asia. Welcome to the forum and welcome to Dumaguete. I'm not an admin, but there is a classifieds section as well as a showcase section for advertising services. This keeps the general forums clear of advertising except for that which the owner approves of. My advice for you is not to provide free services. Yes, free introductions may lead to paid work (which is why this post is an advertisement) but that's not the right way to start off a business relationship. Offering low cost services is a downward spiral with no end. As your fees drop, so does your perceived value. Just when you think you couldn't get any lower, people might start asking you to pay them for the privilege of working with them. In any case, good luck.
Hello, It appears you have miss read my intention here, which was merely an introduction, in the hope i might be able to meet some locals and learn something (and maybe connect on Linkedin). Just so happens, i may have something to offer in return: a little advice - but only if asked for . Absolutely NOT selling services, and if i was then this would not be the place i'd choose to do it. Sorry if any misunderstanding, but that's the truth of it. How does the saying go? Only one chance to make a good first impression? Oops. Admin - please feel free to delete this post if you think it's inappropriate, rather than move it to classifieds as it is not an ad for services. Thanks Nick
When I think about it, the simple intention behind this post was to find common ground. The subject matter was not really the point, but I see how it could have been misinterpreted.
