Are you referring to the 'new' chip & pin cards or the old mag strip type?

 

The new chip ones they issued few weeks ago....they look like something out of a weetbix packet, and work about as well...............

 

Mmmm! That's a pain. Many ATM's have stopped accepting the old type cards now, and BPI has lagged behind the other banks in providing the new chip and pin cards. I still haven't received the new card from BPI, so maybe they are trying to fix the problem.

 

They expect all their customers to go in Saturday morning and wait endless hours in a huge crowd to get their new cards. They didn't bother just making new cards for all customers and have them ready for pickup which they could have easily done and further you need to fill out annoying forms.

This has really annoyed me as I may waste my own time but I do so how I want. If a business wants my time they need to handle me in a timely manner. Further these new cards should have been out years ago. Add in the problems with cards people are talking about and I'm debating just changing banks which the annoying part is just changing my Xoom to go there instead.

I have emailed them, and sent message on their fb page...emails not answered, message on fb page said ring their helpline, and sit there for hours waiting for someone to answer....they don't give a sh*t.............

 

JUst tried using the card new card online to pay my globe acct.. wont work

 

BDO seems to be a good and efficient bank.

 

i'm disappointed to hear about bpi's new cards but it doesn't surprise me; i've been a member for about 8 years and their online customer service is a joke, same with, ''fx isn't functioning, try again later.'' i've also had log in issues.

however... one thing i'm ecstatic about is their senior citizen line; i've gone into the quezon park branch more than once when the prep machine line had at least 25 people in queue and there was 3 or less in the senior citizen line. last time i went in, the regular line went all the way to the service counter and then some but there was no one in the senior line. i did my thing at the prep machine and went straight to the counter and out the door before the regular line advanced one person.
