    I don't know.
Might sound like a silly question, but is there much in the way of river or stream fishing? Perhaps some shore fishing anywhere in Negros? Wondering what you might catch in those waters. Maybe most places too warm to have decent fishing? Just curious. Thought about bringing my own gear and giving some fishing a try next visit. I creek fish and river and lake fish a bit here in Montana.

Thinking about the sewage disposal situation here, in rivers and sea, I guess you are most likely to catch a dose of diarrhoea.

I've caught tilapia on lures and earthworms at Twin Lakes and striped snakehead and catfish in some ponds in Mabinay (don't remember the name of the place off the top of my head). I haven't tried any river fishing as most I've seen look a bit shallow. There is a river close to the village my wife came from that is supposed to be fairly deep where locals catch some fish, just haven't made the hike to try it yet.

The place is called highland resort for snakeheads, turn left on the bayawan rd before mabinay and 1km on levt side,p20 entry.
You could also try in the creeks which are tidal for mangrove snappers which are fun on lures.
There are also a few biggest lakes above dauin and zambo which are ok for small carp and talipia.

Would be happy if you could give me any direction to the lakes in Dauin and Zambo, maybe I pass by without knowing the fish wait for me. When you say small carp and talipa, how small is that? I been at Highland resort catch snakehead, nice place, my route was turn left few km after Bais against Mabinay. Highland resort is like 8-10 km before Mabinay on the left side coming from Bais. Bais to Mabinay is a beautiful and fun ride on bike, nice view from mountain and lot of u and s turn for entertainment. I use a few days in Mabinay area, the town is nothing imho, but beautiful nature with lakes, caves etc., in the area

The carp are only small ones but must have bigger ones there in the lakes. I can only find 2 but know there is a third one.
The zambo lake is up past naturally negros farm past the rice fields, turn right down a track through the bamboo,it also has a small area to fish below the spillway.
Ps the road past highland resort down to bayawan is now concrete all the way and also a nice ride.

Thank you for the info, these places are not easy to find if you don't have local knowledge. I visit the Naturally Negros farm get a tour to see the farm of the manager Douglas. I would like to say, you need use bike or SUV to go on these roads, a little bit rough the road some places. Again thank you for the info, I catch carps in Croatia and other places in southern Europe, give a great fight, but was a bigger size

    Hi there...
I'm new here and finding it difficult to get a decent days angling. Based in Moalboal. Here to stay for good so trying to find my way about and get fishing asap.. I have been out already with a banca owner and caught a few Lapu Lapu. It just isn't enough for me..lol.
If I could only find some like minded Fisher friends, I would be willing to travel and overnight if need be to fulfil my fishing fix...
