Let me begin by stating I am just average size, ok maybe a little above average, if you know what I mean. As you know, finding men’s underwear here that fits (western size) is an ongoing challenge. Personally, I prefer boxers but wear briefs for the walk and gym. (to much information but necessary to make my point). Philippine brands don’t cut it, even their supposedly 2X. Dickies brand (appropriate name) has both (when in stock) American size and Philippines size so you have to be careful, American 2X sells out fast, no surprise. Jockey brand great but never 2X in stock. So last week my great wife bought be Wrangler brand 2X briefs at Lee Plaza, American size. I like 2X for the comfort, my waist 34-35. HOWEVER, the package space is limited to a comfortable choice of a member and a ball, or 2 balls and no member or a comfortable member and no balls. Given she dumped my old briefs, I had no choice but to cram the trio into tight quarters. I constantly have to adjust the package while walking. I don’t travel to Manila or the U.S. so will have to live with the fit. Maybe the briefs will stretch out and expand like my tee shirts do when hanging on the line to drive. Has anyone else found a solution?
I have only found 2 solutions that work for me. If I get to Cebu and go to Marks and Spencers in Ayala I can find very nice briefs for a horribly expensive price but worth it when needed. The other option is I buy them in North America and have them shipped here.
I'm 196 cm guess that around 6'3 feet, I go to Cebu and find my size, both Robinson, SM, and Ayala mall have what I need, not always, but sometimes. Like you special underwear, t-shirts and shoes, use size 47/13 hard or impossible to find in Dumaguete. When I room around different stores in Cebu I always find something that suits me, can be little expensive but my gf give many underwear and t-shirts to the locals, still new just to small for me, too optimistic when I bought it
But how long do they last before falling apart? When I used to buy local brands I found them great for a while, then after a couple of washings, the threads would come apart around the crotch. I guess my size just puts too much pressure on that area . . LOL and not really. Its just that Marks and Sparks sell a decent quality product and North American consumers demand similar quality so, as the ladies say, size really doesn't matter. Its all about the lasting ability (Such is my experience and opinion based on a drawer full of useless local underwear that just sits there until I throw it out.)
MeUndies | The World's Most Comfortable Underwear for Men & Women - MeUndies Mack Weldon | Men's Underwear: Boxer Briefs, Trunks, Briefs and Boxer Shorts Both have excellent quality, comfort and fit IMO. I prefer the MeUndies due to the material they use - called "Modal" - and because they don't have the silly, and useless, hole in the front. (Are there people who even use that hole in underwear to....do something?)
