    hi yáll....

    i need to have a notarized document apostilled by the panamánian consul in manila and the p'ma consul requires the following of the philippine notary;

    ''either the oath of undertaking of the notary public and three (3) specimen signatures of him
    or DFA red ribbon authentication prior to us authenticating them.''

    so, can anyone recommend a duma notary (with directions to his office : ) who has the above qualifications? i picture a guy, wearing a black admiral type outfit with red ribbons hanging off his chest but i'm justa country boy...

    thanks...
    norm : ))~

    notary

    Nope, but you could take that letter to the notary at the City Hall legal office, 2nd floor of city hall, and maybe they can help you. They are pretty helpful. Good luck!!

    I went to the immigration office yesterday and the notary above closed and no sign as to return. Went down the street to Daycare and notary services there towards the back within the clinic. Secretary Job very helpful good price 300 pesos. .. You have to go to City Hall to get signature from attorney of record ALZHAIN SADJAIL....

    Norm, I used Nathan next to Katz in Bacong. Other foreigners also use him.

    After my experience using that Notary Buckeroo you really dodged a bullet and would not be surprised if they have shut up shop! (The Notary up the stairs then to the right)

    I was ready to scream the day we went in there, the second in charge Secretary is the most inept fool I have come across to date here! After returning the forms (a half a dozen times or more) back to her to have them signed how was required (and clearly pointed out to her) the Secretary got very huffy with my wife and berated her in Bisayan (keeping one eye on me) and demanded another 500 pesos for the stuff around! The entire fiasco was completely caused by the second in charge Secretary, who kept one eye on the senior Secretary who was busy, and the Notary signer seated behind the partition, as she quickly (and sneakily) slipped the 500 pesos into a small note book on the desk, then into her pocket. My wife nearly shat herself when she saw me about to call FOUL and quickly shook her head at me for a big NO!

    I would never step foot into that Office even if it was FREE after the incredibly p*ss-poor service we received, which I may add; was not the Head Secretary or Notary signer's faults. Never again!!

    Could it possibly have anything to do with a relationship the secretary had to the contents of the documents?

    Not exactly sure of what you mean by that, but I filled in all relevant paperwork, showed her on each page where it needed to be signed, and each time she bought it back missing the signatures with one down if I was lucky. I showed again, and again, and again, here, Here and HERE and away she went, came back, still missing the remaining necessary signatures! In the end I asked to borrow a Pen from the Head Secretary and put X's where they needed to be signed, still stuffed it up where she had to go back 2 more times to get the necessary signatures beside the X's! Simple instructions which you would think one who does this on a daily basis would be able to grasp. The Three Stooges couldn't have scripted it better...

    What I meant was "Is there a conflict of interest between the secretary and the documents that need to be signed".

    Is this for an exchange of property that was not considered a favorable deal for her family/clan?

    I am not entirely sure on that and it was to do with the Land before we bought the Attorney onboard. I know around here everyone is related to everybody or knows somebody, you really have to watch your reply when asked "How are things going" :shifty:
