Any type of food/plant item is subject to confiscation.

I think that would exclude cooked canned goods and some other preserved goods - where any pathogens or genes would be dead. Every country quite rightly does not want imported diseases to decimate their crops and animals or to import genetic material within a living thing to contaminate gene pools.

    https://www.philippine-embassy.org....the-philippines/customs-passenger-guidelines/
"The unlawful importation of prohibited articles (i.e. marijuana, cocaine or any other narcotics or synthetic drugs, firearms and explosives and parts thereof, gun replicas, obscene or immoral articles, adulterated or misbranded articles of food or drugs, gambling outfits and paraphernalia, used clothing and rags – R.A. 4653"

"Agriculture quarantine restricts the entry of animals, fish and plant produts or their by-products (such as meat, eggs, birds, fruits, etc.)."

Looks like steaks would be confiscated if found. Canned or packaged food items may be ok as long as it is in the original packaging and the label is present and accurate. Of course, it will depend on how the customs officer decides to interpret the law that day.

    Wait...what was the topic again?

    Edit: Never mind, fixed it.

Joints and eggplants are not on the menu; but those ribeyes may be.

I can honestly tell you guys NOT to import any of that fancy flavoured Rice! :sorry: I sent all my packets over (50+) in the Balikbayan Box which I loved to eat back in Oz by adding some meat and veggies etc to flavour it up some more, it was a weekly treat for me. The Wife and Daughter were both eager to try it, then after trying some, shared it to her family to try, telling them all how yummy it was. ALL of it! :shifty: (I should have become suspicious but did not give it much though except all my yummy flavoured Rice was gone...) Move on a few years and the admission has now come out, 1) Wife & Daughter HATED IT! 2) Family HATED IT! 3) The Brother In-law's Chickens LOVED IT! :arghh: Bland flavourless Rice is wearing thin... :shifty:
