    FWIW Metro bank requires a initial deposit of 500 USD whereas PNB only requires an initial deposit of 200 USD

    Same experience here. But we end up opening account with Bank of Commerce. Only 5.20$ fee for every check u get. Cheaper than PNB. Try it. They give higher rates too
