The resturant is across from Thunder Road on the National Highway. Had lunch there Saturday, the carnitas is excellent, the carne asada quesadias very good and the SML very cold. Service is fast and competent. Wishing the owner every success, his menu, food and service deserve it!

Went to this new Mexican restaurant yesterday. Very nice. Menu is good, service is good. Very different preparation from Senoritas. This food comes out already spiced up and you can add more if you want to. It was not overly spiced which was nice. Portions are just right, we eat rather lightly so got the remainder for take out. Had the enchiladas. Wonderful. We are rather lucky to have two very good Mexican restaurants to chose from whose food, while similar, is somewhat different. They also served wine, which was okay, not an expert on wines, just know what I like and don't like.

Would definitely eat there again and try something different on the menu. They also have some Filipino favorites, the wife has the Sig Sig and she loved it.

The resto is simple clean with outstanding food and good service. We will be regulars when in town.

Not at all an expert on Mexican food but liked Senoritas/Finish Line at the airport. Will try the new one down south soon.

We went there last week, while looking for Senioritas... Los Mariachis is great, food really enjoyable, well worth the trip, see other reviews.......

Now can someone tell me where Senioritas is ?? "....Out by the airport...." ????? Has anyone really been to the new one, or just repeating someone else ?????

Senorita's is in the space previously occupied by Finish Line Cafe on the airport road directly across from the Departures entry (across the parking lot, too.) Most of the signage still says Finish Line, but that owner, Bryan Pine, sold and moved to Sipalay, NegOcc (is what I have heard....no verification.)

I have eaten there a few times and find the food really good. They keep the beer really cold as it was at Finish Line. I like "Tex-Mex" as opposed to "authentic Mexican," and it appears Tex-Mex is more their style.

Thanks NYC. We did enjoy Seniorita's tex-mex food and will definitely try the new one. You piqued my interest: <<Tex-Mex. ... The differences between Mexican and Tex-Mex food can be summed up in the use of a few key ingredients found in the US that are scarcely used anywhere South of the Rio Grande. These ingredients are: beef, yellow cheese (like cheddar), wheat flour, black beans, canned vegetables (especially tomatoes), and cumin.>>(Thrillist.com)

We are also familiar with Mission Style: <<A Mission burrito (also known as a San Francisco burrito or a Mission-style burrito) is a type of burrito that first became popular during the 1960s in the Mission District of San Francisco, California. It is distinguished from other burritos by its large size and inclusion of extra rice and other ingredients.>> Also the burrito tortilla is usually steam heated >> (Wikipedia.org) ...

Still the best line from any wait staff in Dumaguete when we asked at Seniorita's (the old one) whether the owner's husband was from the STATES, the reply to which was, "No Sir, he's from Texas." gotta love em....
