Ya, they called them "ham & mother fukers". No joke just the truth. We also used then for improving the feed angle to the M-60 door guns. In the photos you can see a can of them attached to the feed side of those 60s. They greatly reduced feed jams on those 60s.

Don't know Pat. Once I transferred from the grunt company to the gun company. Ham & mothers became a thing of the past. They were only used to help those bullet hungry 60s work better. We also modified the recoil buffers to increase the firing rate.
