I have a bunch of dental implants that are failing and I need to get them replaced.

Does anyone know of a dentist that can do the work under general anesthetic? I really would rather wake up in pain than sit in a dentists chair for hours while they inflict it.

    Hi Show Pony,

Try Premier Dental Care Solutions opposite Do Bosco school see

    Landline 4210579

She is always very busy so you may have to wait - and has had good ratings here previously which I think helped make her busy but through the FB message system you can ask the question of Dr Cordeta - she does use general anaesthetic for other procedures such as impacted wisdom teeth so suspect she does for dental implants also, call and enquire.

    Thank you for the information.
I visited her about 6 months ago and she said she didn't do general anesthesia in her office.
She did offer general anesthesia where she would travel to Manila with my wife and I. The price was pretty high for that service as you would expect.
I wish she could do the work I want in her office. She struck me as being very good at her job and very professional. The only thing that surprised me was she asked me who did the work in my mouth. The existing implants are too small and too close together.

It looks like I will have to do some exploring around Cebu.

This differs from what I heard about 2 months ago in that she said she could do work in her surgery under anaesthesia but would have an anaesthesiologist there - this could be one of your own choosing if you wish.

She certainly does set a very high standard here for healthcare.

Their website is really high standard and the clinic looks the same from photos there - they have 3 clinics listed but I assume they are a similar standard.

Knowing someone who has had a brace fitted elsewhere, I was puzzled to read "This whole process [fitting of the brace] will last at least 2-3 hours. After placement of the brackets, patients are appointed to comeback every 3 to 4 weeks for adjustment of wires and elastics, which will take only at least 20 to 30 minutes." The local person's experience was about 40 minutes for the original fitting and 10 minutes per subsequent appointment for adjustment - and the process worked very well.

    Thanks.
I contacted Dr. Cordeta. She uses a local anesthesia and uses an anesthesiologist who will administer sedation. This certainly a step in the right direction. When I hear the sound of the dentists drill I start to feel pain. If the level of sedation is high enough maybe I won't know what is going on. There is a lot of truth to the old saying "ignorance is bliss".

On Monday I have an exam scheduled with her to discuss what can be done and I will hopefully find out how heavily they can sedate me. If I can get most of the work done in her office that will be a bonus.

    Thanks everyone for your suggestions.

It seems highly likely that if an anaesthesiologist is sedating you then it will sufficient to give you the bliss you desire.

Best of luck for your treatment and let us all know how you get on.

I have an appointment for this Friday with Premiere. I made the appointment through their FB page, and just FYI they did say to me that they prefer people to just call or text their office rather than use the FB page to contact them. I have similar issues to the OP, one thing I found in the States that worked good for me was the use of nitrous gas. I'm not sure if this office will offer that or not, but will find out. The gas doesn't really offer much anesthetic effect (a bit) but will make you very relaxed and not so concerned with what's going on.
