    looking to buy a new Scooter/Motorcycle upon moving to Dumaguete. What are the requirements to purshase new.What requirements do dealers ask for ? Do i need the new local license first ? My state side License has no M/C indorsement . And to haul a rider around comfortably,mainly local on the island,what size engine is best .Any brands to stay away from? Will be paying cash .

    no requirements to buy except paying for it...if you have no idea what you find acceptable try renting a few different bikes first...normally about p300 a day...choices normally 110..125 and 150cc

    Going around the island, so not only city trips, I should not buy a scooter when riding rough rooads are part of it. It also makes a difference you will drive solo or frequently with is a passenger. `Normally a 125cc will do the job. For a bit more power a 150cc or 200cc much better of course, much will depend on the budget you can spend.
    Personally I have good eperience both with Honda and Yamaha as well as with the service, periodical maintennce etc. by the official dealers in town,
