Already tried following up on the (very) few leads that I've found on this forum. If anyone has/knows of some space they'd like to rent short-term then please let me know.

Need a bit of secure storage space. Starting on 27 January, probably 4 or 5 weeks, but might be up to 2-months or so. Some household goods, washing machine, single bed, etc., maybe 3 cubic meters or so. Dry and secure, may need occasional access but not on a regular basis. Dumaguete, Sibulan or Valencia would work best.
Please let me know what you have and how much on a weekly/monthly basis. Message me here or TEXT 09183284934. THANKS!

So I did end up finding something, 'hiding in plain sight', on OLX. It's in Sibulan, about 3-kilometers from the ferry terminal, right on the National Highway. They're not really targeting short-term, the units are a LOT larger than I needed, but not too pricey IMO. Just happy that they had a unit available.

Just search OLX for 'Private storage warehouse' and it should come up.

Do you know the approximate dimensions of the space and could also tell us the rental please?

Well I can quote the OLX ad - 35sqm, 4k per-month. I would assume pricing could vary.

Very high ceiling, maybe 6 or 7-meters high, 2 rollup doors, in a gated and guarded compound. Appears to be dry space, but only time will tell for sure.

A very fair price - and that space could even be shared by at least four people (assuming each can be trusted, of course!) at Php1k/pm!

On the matter of keeping your items dry, have you thought about putting on a small raised platform (maybe old tyres/tires with perhaps a plywood top) for low-level floor dampness (I mean not if there is a tsunami) and covering with tarpaulins.

Yes, I did get things squared away to a large degree. Thank you for the suggestions.

The storage is at the Matiao Compound in Sibulan, on the Negros South Road, just past the airport when heading towards Sibulan. Google maps does know the place.

I think the best way to contact them would be to call the number for the Martin Matiao Transport Services main office, probably ask for Allan, Michelle or Earnest. I think they're all Matiao, all siblings, I *think* at least one of them is typically in that office.

    Hopefully that helps.

Did you use this storage site and, if so, how did you find it for dryness?

If not, did you use any other storage space?

    Thanks in anticipation.

Yes, we used it for 1-month. It seemed to stay completely dry. Your mileage might vary, but if they rented a unit to you I suspect it would be within the same structure and under the same roof, so likely stay just as dry.

    Nothing else, 1 and done.
