One other thing that might be usefull. Every 5 years the 13A itself is required to be replaced with current info and photo.
When you say 'returned all original docs and given claim slip' does that mean they return your passport also at that time, or do they hold the passport for the 5 days?
They didn't hold my passport or I-card, just gave me a claim slip to come back in a few days to pick up my receipt.
I have been here 2.5 years and this is the first I have heard of a annual report.... I must have been under a rock and I know ignorance is not an excuse but what am I going to say when I go to do my 2019 report and do not have a 2018 receipt ? How big will the fine be ? Or do I say that I have lost my 2018 receipt and keep quiet ...
Physical Reporting once a year is for 13a Visa Holders or any other 13, Tourists on 9a Vsa report throughout the year on Extensions, You may find that a charge of 310 peso appears on an extension done Jan 1 to march 1. have a look at you receipt. If you are on a 13a you need to act quickly to Register your Visa
If your visa is 13a and you didn't report last year a lost receipt statement won't work, it's all there on their computer
Ahh Thanks.... I was beginning to think I had memory lapses.. I am still on tourist visa so I am good... whew... LOL
Just go to the B.I and tell the truth as the computer will show you have no 2018 payment. The fine is quite large but nothing you can do or say will make it any smaller
