    What would make anyone think it wasn't? I suppose someone could have just been walking by a random house with a loaded pistol, had a break in sanity, trespassed onto some random person's property, randomly found an outhouse and then randomly shot the occupant of that outhouse. This doesn't seem very likely.

    If I were a prosecutor I would do everything I could to tear any similar defense apart. Even if it were a botched attempt at theft I would still try to prove premeditation (not exactly "premeditation", in the US I believe this would be "felony murder", which usually carries the same punishment as premeditated murder) by the defense's choice to buy the bullets, load them into the magazine, load the magazine into the weapon and then head over to his robbery. They knew murdering someone was a distinct possibility and prepared himself for the act. However, from what I have read nothing was reported stolen and they even left the cell phone next to the body. It appears the sole purpose of them going to the property was to murder this man. The conspiracy charge is what I would really be interested in though.

    Or the red and black ones. I'm sure there are some wild purple varieties as well. Still, most are yellow. :wink:

    Good advice from one who knows the situation well, my Missus is from Dauin and we just got a good size chunk of land that I was thinking about doing a small confined cattle farm on. Mabey it Isent such a good idea, as two of those boxes are ticked. Thanks for the heads up mate.

    Aside from all that, going from clueless, uninformed speculation to discussing the personal, private details is not a discussion I want to be a part of.

    It was the Col Mustard, in the study, with the wrench = Okay-ish.

    Anything more personal than that which isn't already public shouldn't get posted here.

    If nothing else, I feel it's disrespectful to family and not helpful. This thread could come up pretty high in Google search results for friends and family reading from everywhere. Again, not something I want to be part of. I would rather remove my comments also.

    Clueless uninformed speculation!! are you serious mate, I think Foreigners being murderd should be up front and center of any discussion, especially if there going unlsolved, burying your head up your backside and pretending it doesent happen, well that's absolutely disrespectful to the victims family.

    At least the Mayor is taking the murder very seriously and is concentrating PNP and NIB efforts on this case.

    Funeral Mass today at 10:00am at the Catholic Church in Dauin. Cremation to follow (I think in Dumaguete).

    The problem with the Philippines is you can take out a contract on anybody 4 P 10000 pesos.
    Living in Angeles City it happens over and over but seems available anywhere for the locals
