Hello Everyone, Men's Slow-Pitch Recreational Softball is starting out fresh with invites to all interested parties no matter of the past. It's time to move on with clean slates and fresh starts with positive vibes. Softball happens every Saturday 0900 ish at Daro Rusi Ball-field weather permitting. Directly across from the New Ace Doctors Hospital. The field is in the NW corner from the Hospital. If your interested come on out and give it try. Some equipment is provided like balls, bats and a few extra gloves. Once we have a head count we divvy of the teams evenly and play ball! We have an array of players from all nationalities and locals aged from 18 to 78. The aim is for everyone to come out and have fun on Saturdays and go out for beers afterwards alternating various expat resto bars. Within the Softball group we have sub groups for other activities that we play during the week such as, Golf, Tennis and Pool. Throughout the year friendly barangay tournaments come around for those who enjoy a bit of competition. For the Crazy Competitive types I have a separate team that goes up to Angeles City for a tournament in March every year. We have a great time playing up in the AC and look forward going back next year. So if your keen for a try c'mon out when you can on Saturdays 0900 ish Daro Rusi Field. Directions are attached below. Yes! Absolutely we can have a new uniform made. In the past 3 years we had two Rec Softball team names the Gwapo's and the Dragons. We had a full button down sleeveless jersey for the Gwapo uniform that looked nice and a t-shirt jersey for the Dragons.
Yes, all genders are welcome to play softball on Saturdays. NORSU has a women's fast pitch team and during Intramural's Silliman has 2-3 slow-pitch teams. Hopefully, in the near future we can form up Co-ed Slow-pitch teams.
