Really you going to depart from here just because another poster posted some thing that you didn't agree with? If I did that, I could have quit 12 years ago. There is nothing wrong with being a thinker or an idiot. If we do not have both of them, we have neither.

I remember the old news articles in 2015 about alleged abu sayeff terrorists settling personal scores in Bohol, as I recall. After those articles, we moved here in 2017 anyway as we have familiarity with the central visayas, coming here since 1988 when the NPA was the boogie man. It is now 2019 and no news of increased terrorist activities in Siquijor etc.. It takes ages to update these govt travel advisories. Wonder if the US still has their warnings up.

Yeah, I think it’s pretty routine in that it isn’t organized terrorism. It indicates that you have to be concerned about everybody, not just abu sayeff.

This is very different than kidnapping.

Three Western Foreigners have been shot in the Dumaguete area since the end of March 2019 to the 1st of May 2019.

Anyone arrested?

I believe shooting of foreigners is legal within the confines of Dumaguete City limits ever since news of the drunk Swede kicking a dog outside the WhyNot and cursing at a cop.
