I got a parcel coming in from hong kong supposed to be paid for.

    Now i receive this text:

"Good pm would like to inform that your shipment w/ tracking no. 488522871xxx already arrived in manila via fedex from HK. Informing you as well about the Local Processing charges amounting Php 576.80, Please confirm before we proceed for the delivery, thanks"

I asked them to send me an email with the invoice what this is about, sounds like some scam to me. I cant find any information online about processing fee and its worth under 10k php so it cant be import tax.

Just hate this txting for official business. Send me a proper email with an official invoice but this is to vague for me. Did anyone experienced like this and what did you do? The tracking number seems okay and this is the info i get, see picture.

On first attempt the parcel got returned because of the battery i guess. Maybe this is the resending cost?

Na, i will wait what they do. Never had this bs for the last 6 years but now i do remember why i never used fedex again. And that was before the 10k php exempted import tax rule.

It was the choice of the hk chinese to use fedex. He can solve this or they can send it back. I dont care.

Its not an important item and i will just get my refund if it won't arive.

Not paying like 10% processing bs.

Was just wondering how others respond to a txt to pay 560php to receive your already paid stuff.

I used SCAM-X one time and I will never use them again. I always check with the seller as to how and who is the shipper. If they ship SCAM-X I ask if they can ship snail mail. It they only ship SCAM-X I do not order.

Sure thats one way of doing it, put it back on the seller, but they might state, they fulfilled their side of the bargain, I'm just saying if you choose not to pay it, they will not send it, they will wait and see then, what will happen is it will be magically paid .......and grow legs

This overcharge just happened to me a few days ago. I have been using eBay global shipping who contracts fedex. I think my additional charge was also the same, in local value, a rip-off; it should not be more than 300p for local delivery of a small package on a motorbike or tricycle. They told me it was for the local delivery of the package; Fedex international takes it as far as a hub location in Dumaguete and then local FedEx hires a local delivery service to bring it to your balay. In my humblest of opinions, I think Ebay ought to include this in their original payment; who ever thought of this? Wonder if eBay is aware of these local FedEx Office shenanigans. Probably not. eBay global logistics contracts fedex when shipping international from the USA and it looks like the local fedex Dumaguete Office ain’t gonna pay for local delivery so are is picking up a little extra profit along the way. Maybe fedex was able to bid low for eBay global shipping because the make eBay customers fund part of the logistics lol. I think I will let eBay global shipping know (complain) because I plan to continue to ship from eBay USA global shipping in the future.

Problem solved, the hk chinese sender paid for it and i received the package. All very friendly.
I told him not to use fedex anymore because of this bullshit. They changed to DHL now.

It is a Warehouse Processing Charges on the invoice they gave me...
I don't care if they use a warehouse, a motorbike to deliver or transport it on a skateboard.
Fedex was paid in hong kong to deliver it to me, seems like bullshit to charge a part of that process separately to the receiving party.

I understand if there is import taxes, that is everywhere around the world. But to pay for receiving a parcel, only in the ph...

Great that they agreed to use DHL in the future. I think this local FedEx Office is out of line. But for people who order a US product on eBay and choose eBsy global shipping (which is an excellent product!), eBay US has the seller ship to an eBay distribution center, say in some town like Erlanger Kentucky. From there, they prepare the shipment for international transport; they are very low cost to ship to the Phils, like $29.99. It is not express; it takes about 3 weeks to get to the front door here but 1 week of that is in the Phils. So it arrives at Customs, gets xrayed and is released and goes to Fedex in Paranaque (nobody has yet asked me to pay duties on the electronic items I ordered). From Paranaque it goes to some warehouse in Dumaguete. When the tracking shows it is in transit from Paranaque, I give them a call in Manila and they have a very good Philippine tracking facility for inside the Philippines. Then they will say it is in Dumaguete (if it arrived) and I give them a call so their local non-Fedex delivery person can get my number and directions to my hard to find house. Then they say there will be a local delivery charge for the non-fedex delivery guy. I suspect that is against fedex’s contract will eBay. There is not much we can do except complain to eBay global shipping. That’s what I am doing because I am not a direct customer if fedex in this case so local Dumaguete can tell me to pound salt. If I want it delivered I must pay the driver. It is not often we find such efficient and cheap shipping if US products from the US so I really recommend using the process; the only think I don’t think is right is that P560 local delivery charge. I suspect that eventually that will be fixed if eBay customers complaint; I suspect eBay is. It aware of the last leg of 2km costing an additional 33% of the total $30 charge to go 15000 km from the US to the Dumaguete warehouse.

The delivery boy explained he really worked for Fedex, not a local courier. I know sometimes i get deliveries via Air21 when it was send by UPS, but they never charge me extra for that.

But this today all looked like handled by Fedex. Anyway, i will just make sure never to use them anymore.

There are mail-forwarding services from usa for al your ebay and amazon orders witch gives mostly a much better price is my experience at no extra bs cost at delivery.

I have no experience with this ebay global shipping, but if it works for you... never change a working machine!
