It is about time for new tires on my Honda XR150L, I don't particularly want to replace with the Chinese OEM tires but finding the right size here can be a pain - especially since my back pain levels have been up making walking around pricing and looking for stock a bigger task for me than it used to.

OEM tires are CST C6559 90/90-19 and 110/90-17

I was thinking Shinko 804 100/90-19 and Shinko 705 120/90-17 as replacements. I also see there is a company called Power Tire that has OEM size tires with knockoff Shinko 705 tread pattern for less than half the price of actual Shinkos.

    All that for 3 questions.
-do you know a shop that has the size tires I need
-do you know if the Power Tire brand is decent enough (will hold up as good as the CST OEM, obviously won't be as good as 'real' Shinkos)
-is there a different brand you would recommend instead
-is there an online tire seller good enough to recommend

    Thanks,
    Steve

Try Raddi opposite Escencia hotel, if you're in town they have a good selection of tyres nowadays.

Thanks, they are usually my go-to but they do have their 'sorry no stock' cycles they go through. Good to here this is not one of those times.

I usually buy the german brand METZELER for my Honda at Caloocan Sales Center Inc., Manila. You can look it up in Google. They have also other brands. Until now I'm happy with their service. You send them the money and they send the tires to Duma. Just call them, they will give you instructions how it works.

You can buy shinko tyres at fcco motorparts. Coming out of town just after city limit on right side. Just before where they sell the mangos. I bought mine there.

Raddi has a tire catalog sitting on the desk (brown cover at the center of the counter). I recently ordered some tires for my CBR 1000RR from Raddi, brand Shinko. I have been using Shinko for quite some time and have been more than happy with them. It took about 4-5 days to arrive from Manila. I also use Shink0 tires on my BMW 650 motocross (Raddi also supplied the tubes and tires for that bike as well).

If they can get tires for a 1000cc super bike and a motocross bike with a very odd tire sizes they shouldn't have any issues getting them for a 150cc.

Shinko 705 is a good tire for mostly street use and an improvement on the stock CST rubber. Wears well on my Serow, usable on dirt roads, good in the wet. They’re already very economical... no reason to go cheaper than this.
I’d go with the mechanics at Raddi opposite Essencia vs. the shop near Octagon, but that’s me being OCD. Should be P50 labor to swap either tire.

Good info on the Metzler source Swissrider. I was thinking Karoo 3 for my next pair. Nothing wrong with the 705 as a street tire but they’re not great in deeper mud. Will do another 705 rear to wear out with the front and then switch as a pair.
