The old non-inverters suck the electricity like vampires.....Inverter models are far better.....We still have one old one -which does our living area....and the bedrooms are now all inverters....Here in south-western oz....we have reverse-cycles - heat in the winter too.....And when we replaced the old non-inverters in the bedrooms....surprise-surprise - the inverters were a dramatic reduction to electricity prices......Our old Panasonic R/C in the living room still works perfectly......But per chance we decide to stay here - it will be replaced with another Panasonic - same as the others......

It's an inverter split type only 14 months old. Last year the electric was about 16kw...Now 27 kw. Got someone to test it next week. Got it from City hardware, my mistake, won't buy any appliance from there again.

27 kw (kilowatts)? Standard residential transformers here are 10 kw and each one powers 3 middle class homes or 1 expat home lol. Your one air conditioner draws enough to power 8 fil homes on average. Perhaps your 27 kw is a bit high?

It's a tenant that's renting a small house, definitely 27 kw we both checked it over 24 hours.

No way 27000 watts! You would definitely need 3 phase power. Do you have 3 phase power going into the residence? I think such large cooling systems might be used in large malls and airports). May 2.7 KW? Still big but...the largest residential split phase I could find was 2.5 Kw but perhaps there was 3 kw or 5 kw special order.

I have a transformer 15 kva going into my house, don't know if it's 3 phase or not but, look at this example.

if you have a 1,000 watt drill, it takes 1,000 watts (or one kW) to make it work. If you run that drill for one hour, you’ll have used up one kilowatt of energy for that hour, or one kWh. Hope this helps. If not can someone explain please. BTW. I live in a large 3 story house with another house on my premise.
