I brought my Papillon dog from Korea to the Philippines; won’t bore everyone with all the requirements (will answer any questions if anyone is interested). It was a bit of a challenge but it is possible to make it happen. Attached is a picture of our boy. Shawn
Getting dogs in, isn't as much a problem(paperwork all correct & up to date of course), as getting them out I would imagine, should one decide to move on, later.
We brought a 40kg doberman (the one to the left) from LA to Cebu in 2016. Shawn is right, there is a lot of paperwork on PH forms and on US forms, but if you do it right the first time (PAY attention to details), there isn't much problem. Fun and games, but it's worth it...
As an American getting my pup's pure breed paperwork, registered in my name and the other paperwork on the Korean side was fun to say the least. Getting him out of Korea was probably more of a challenge than getting him through Manila. As Edward K said...well worth it. Now we take his KKC registration and get it transferred to PCCI. Always fun...Shawn
One of our Canadian "snowbird" guests who stayed with us over the Canadian winter months brought his dog with him here to Valencia via Dumaguete and returned to Canada 3 months later with no problems encountered. He confirmed that it's just a matter of getting the paperwork right!
