Very true. And even more for real estate. Many sellers are advertisi ng fantasy prices that are simply out of the world. Some are just testing the market in a stupid way and are not interested to sell at all. Unless they would really find a super dumb buyer. Rush sale: Most of the time a lie. Then you have these sellers who also put a super high price for a start. But this group really wants to sell. So it can happen they ask 10 mio and after all you get it for 5 mio. Good luck to find out who is who. It is a big mess here. Gesendet von meinem SM-N950F mit Tapatalk
There are more than "a few" and if you are smart you let your Asawa contact and negotiate... right now there are prob 20 to 30 houses for rent from 10k to 30k ... you just have to have someone with experience... I live in a new build 100 sq mtr with aircon in all rooms, quiet and in a subdivision for 20k which is about right if you can find it... I would agree with the poster that suggested you find a monthly apartment until you have the "lay of the land" before signing a lease... one mentioned Dumaguete Studio... I stayed there but I would suggest Mar Pas which is in Valencia, This city varies greatly depending on what part you live in and what transportation you have...
Thanks guys and girls, I have a place that I rented through Airbnb...yes.. overpriced but a base to explore from finding the long-term place. I would hate arriving in a place without any place or no reviews to follow. I will explore Dumaguete and try to get familiar with the city and surroundings. Then can ask people in these areas if they know of anything, if you have not already sent me DM here with some insider tips. Looking forward to arrive in Dumaguete and get to know the place.
Is it the city septage treatment plant you mean? I found that on Google maps. I assume the whole surrounding area of the treatment plant smells then City Septage Treatment Plant Dumaguete, Negros Oriental https://maps.google.com/?cid=17228304143241164445
Nope. I am referring to the City Dump. The red pin shows the location of the city dump. The line shows the direction and distance to Freedom Apts. Only 600 meters. Look at it in satellite view. The smell caused a state of calamity. The City Council declared a state of calamity in 6 barangays namely Candau-ay, Balugo, Cadawinonan, Junob, Batinguel, and Camanjac. The CDRRMC resolution stated that the open dumpsite in Candau-ay has been continuously producing contaminated air that may cause a lot of diseases, significant health and environmental threats both to the people involved in the operations and the wider general public. Mayor Remollo, Vice-Mayor Alan Gel Cordova and the members of the City Council recognized the urgent need to control the foul and nauseating odor emanating from the dumpsite. https://google.com/never-ending-story-part-9-trash-sprayed-to-eliminate-odor/
omg. Glad I don't own anything close to that. I visited Bulgaria and there was a processing plant in the area, not very nice having dinner with your nose bombarded with exotic smells
Other issues with dumps, other than air quality, are that water sources can be contaminated and methane is produced (bad for the environment, as well as a fire hazard).
