Why msls6 as quoted my post as trollin' ? I hope it's a mistake and it will be repared soon as for consequences: I need moderator approval for my post now, I cannot rate any post too and I cannot PM anybody, including the moderators. Also I get the "infamous" mark and I have been awarded a trophy: Bad post rating?

My post was in no way a trollin'

I read your post on this thread and totally agree that in no way can it be rated as trollin'. These errors do occur at times and it can be a simple mistake. I received a negative for saying someone was a nice person - but as I had a chicken roasting in the oven I was able not to be affected by it.

As you are relatively new here I can understand your concern, especially if it restricts your use of the site.

I am not aware how moderators work but perhaps a moderator such as @Rye83 or the person who gave you the negative rating @msls6 can sort this out for you.

Well who would have thought this would happen?

As I was driving past a PNP checkpoint near the old Orica Plant in Buntis Bacong, a PNP starts hoofing it up the road to ticket a motorcyclist stopped about 100 meters north of the checkpoint. About 75 meters south of the checkpoint there was another PNP with their ticket book out writing a ticket.

I'm not 100% certain but I believe the helmet laws can be enforced anywhere within 200 meters of an authorized checkpoint.

Please accept my sincere apology for any bad rating I gave you! I just now became aware of this. I'm truly sorry for the problem this caused. I either give good ratings or none at all. I must have clicked on something accidently. I think I started to reply to your post on the little screen of my phone, had trouble trying to quote part of it, then the internet went down, or something like that.
At that time, I thought about letting others know how I was able to get a PI drivers license, on a toutist visa, in Dumaguete by going through Globalink Driving School (on the same street as Foundation University).
If it is true that the 90-day validity of a foreign license resets upon visa renewal, then a PI driver's license should not be required.

Yes. I know that sounds very strange.
Some of the laws here are really quite odd.
Laws originating from the LTO can only be enforced by the LTO. If the LTO does some training and deputizes another agency then the other agency can enforce those laws. Some of you might remember the TMO in Dumaguete trained and deputized some of the PNP so they could issue parking tickets.

I am not 100% sure about that. As you can see in the link to LTO FAQ below, it says "90 days from date of arrival", not date of Visa-renewal.

All I know is that if they pull me over for a drunk driving test, I will tell them "SORRY, I HAVE NOT STUDIED FOR THAT!" And drive off. Cheers
