Has anyone been contacted by QTC Medical Services for claim evaluation? I assume it is an outsourced service of the VA asking me for further remote evaluation.
Sounds fishy to me I sent a secured message to Manila VA. I will let you know their reply. They still closed right now.
Just did a search of the VA web site. This is what I got; "No results were found that matched the keywords: QTC Medical Services." Is is either a scam or so new that the VA dose not even know of it. THE VA DOSE NOT NORMALLY CONTACT VETS. Be carful!
Turns out the VA set an evaluation appointment next week near Seattle. I called the Manila VA and transferred all my records to the Manila VA and will wait for my claim evaluation Manila appointment.
Hello PatO, My husband has been seen for disability claims and the service used here is through VES which operates out of Texas. Please make sure that contact email and phone numbers are valid. Secondly, do not allow them to schedule for first available appointments as it is a guarantee that the trip will require travel. As this is the second claim submitted, we have traveled to Bacolod, Manila, and Cebu to be seen by VES. Finally, just received a letter from VA stating that if the veteran is seen by a private physician, have the doctor complete the DBQ's questionnaire, can be found on the VA website, for the claim and the VA may not need to perform an evaluation. Beware that the forms are very exact and may be rejected by VA if incomplete. I hope this helps your claim processing! Good fortune in this matter! -KB (Navy vet)
Thank you. Was your husband’s evaluation for PTSD? Was one of the appointments for his initial primary care visit?
No, it was not for that condition. Being here for nearly three years our initial primary care visit was accomplished after much waiting. Have you contacted the Manila clinic for an appointment with mental health? The new phone numbers are listed on medical clinic website, call for an appointment as soon as you can. Or if you are traveling to Manila anytime soon I know of veterans that attempt walk ins. Just be ready to wait, "hurry up and wait!" Having documentation from the mental health clinic here would only help your claim and allow for refills of medications if needed.
