    Hi!
My name is Sergey. I'm from Russia.
I, my wife and our dog want to move to your wonderful city. For a long time.
Breed of the dog a corgi.
The question is: in which area of the city should house for rent be considered?
Please tell me where are the main places for walking dogs? Where do often dog owners gather with their pets?
We will consider housing near these places.
    Our dog Amelia:

10 years ago when we first came to Dumaguete we stayed in a gated subdivision and taking our dog for a short walk there was no problem but the first time we ventured outside the subdivision was traumatic to say the least, 2 minutes outside the gate and our dog was a magnet for all the stray / unleashed dogs in the area and I literally had to fight them off and retreat back to the subdivision.
We now live in a house with 2000 sq m fenced garden so our dogs have plenty of room to run around there so we never take them outside.
I would advise you to be very careful where you take your dog as some of the stray / unleashed dogs carry diseases.
There used to be a dog show every year at Robinsons but I am not sure if that still happens.

Hi! Choose a house that is privately or separately fenced or gated. Do not go for one with a shared gate like apartments since your next-door neighbor might not be dog-lovers. We have dogs ourselves and also renting our place which has a fence where they could all do their business and stuff---no need to walk them since they are not caged nor tied. There is a group of people here who are dog-lovers and they meet annually for shows and other events.

    Your doggie looks adorable.

Thanks for your reply. Stray dogs - this is what I was afraid of. In Russia, we bought a stun gun to drive stray dogs away. Unfortunately, stun guns cannot be transported on an airplane. Please tell me, is it legal to buy a stun gun in Dumaguete?

There are no vaccinated dogs or cats in the Philippines unless they live in a gated community.
