I heard they will get their franchise when the new airport opens because of the massive amount of traffic that will be going to the new Internation Bacong Airport.
You don’t need taxis to establish GRAB or similar businesses. You may be confusing the case where a taxi driver can also run a GRAB service. That mode seems to have overtaken in Cebu but GRAB is still what it is which is not dependent on being a taxi. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I’m down from Valencia often in my multicab and it wouldn’t be a problem to give you a lift depending on day and time. You can reach me at 09451244838
i looked into doing this a year or so ago, as a means to help pay for the wife's new car. it did not look profitable at all. i calculated picking someone up at sibulan airport and hauling them to daiun. the fare would be only about P200. after considering the gas, expnses, time involved, and teh specific vehicle requirements, i don;t see how anyone could make a living at it in dumaguete.

I use GRAB a lot in Asia as well. The one I used in Dumaguete was not Grab. Sorry. But it was a good driver. Found him in internet. Gesendet von meinem SM-N950F mit Tapatalk
Some of us don’t click the url unless we know it is interesting enough to look at the reference. Suggest you add a sentence or two explaining the relevance ahead of time. I know this is a common practice but a few added words should not be inconvenient. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
As others say, GRAB is pretty much identical to Uber and Lyft in the states. I'm guessing it comes from the ancient expression (anybody under 50 know this?), which is "....grab a cab..." One suggestion is to order by phone, pay by cash so the driver keeps 100% of the tip..
