    They will but won't understand it and then say the writers are anti filipino and should go home.

    The Philippines faces a lot of problems with education but the PISA doesn't really test much other than how well students are trained to take the test.

    Are test not designed to see how well the child has been taught to take a test.

    Yep but who is going to get blamed for the poor showing?? You cannot blame the teachers because they will be offended, you cannot blame the school principal because probably has a masters degree, cannot blame the students as that will directly reflect on the teachers.. Blame the test writers for making it too difficult for the Filipino students who are world class and should be automatically given a pass mark..

    Well its obviously not the students fault becasue the teaschers never gave them the answers to this test to memorize! untrained!

    Yes there is surely an issue when it comes down to the nitty gritty of the problem and trying to correct the issue better not say too much as the truth hurts.

    Blaming teachers, or the education system in general, or politicians is conventient, because we are all invested in them. But a children's work and study habits, general health, curiosity and commitment begin development before beginning school, in the home. What's the point of blaming parents, when we (neighbors, society) can do nothing about it?
