I recently started doing archery on my last visit to the USA and wanted to continue here in Dumaguete. I have been to the Dumaguete archery center a couple of times but no one is ever there. I tried emailing to no avail. Does anyone know where, when or who so I can return to archery as a hobby. For the record I shoot barebow recurve and enjoy the challenge. Thanks.
sorry for not posting sooner; i've seen people shooting (archery) here in the mornings. https://goo.gl/maps/UGhVqbLiUscCVvGr5 i went by the site today but no one was there. btw, the temporary wooden motorcycle/pedestrian bridges between hypermart and the archery site are closed due to construction of a new bridge. well, ya can't be sure it's for a new bridge but the wooden bridges are gone and there was an excavator in the river.
Where you buy those? I have been thinking about archery myself. Hope to hear if anyone finds out if there are any club or similar
There's an archery range behind / next to the SU ROTC building. This is beside the SU Football Field, across the street from SUMC. Just walk into the ball field from Aldecoa Dr. and you'll see the ROTC building on your right. I've never seen anyone out there shooting, but probably just the timing, there are always targets out there. *Note: The location is as described above, NOT the location indicated on the FB page linked below. The FB page below has a post, by someone that (apparently) teaches children archery. I'd start by messaging her and / or anyone else that has posted/liked/etc. on that page for information. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Dion...man-University-Dumaguete-City/343949416146192
Being proficient with a bow and arrow could be a useful skill in home defence if a gun is not permitted.
