Just shows Pinoys have no discipline and are too stupid to understand why the government is doing this... force quarantine in Mactan jail for 6 months and maybe they will realize / learn.

I think the question should be "What happened to them? Where did they go? Where are they now?"

Cebu City (CNN Philippines, February 13) — Dozens of Filipinos who arrived from Taiwan were placed in quarantine on Thursday after 10 hours at the Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA).

Sounds like the whole situation was handled pretty poorly by the airlines and the Task Force. The passengers should have been informed of the procedure before boarding the flight. On arrival at Cebu they should have de-planed on the tarmac with buses standing by to take them to the quarantine facility instead of being held without notice for 8 hours inside the terminal.

There was a change in policy the day before that resulted in 500 pax from Taiwan being denied entry at Cebu, Manila and Kalibo. Policy changed while the flights were airborne, due to conflicting statements coming out of DoH, Immigrations, CAB and MECO. Some feel the so-called one China policy means the travel ban on Chinese also applies to Taiwan, some don’t. Since there are more virus cases in Japan than Taiwan, that smells like pure politics.

Mmm. I wonder what would happen if Taiwan decided to repatriate all 160,000 Filipino workers, on humanitarian grounds....

Filipinos who become PUIs are quarantined in hospitals. I have heard multiple reports that they had to pay for their stay whilst in the hospital. The government only covers the cost for the test kits, the rest is up to the PUIs. I doubt Filipinos would be willing to line to get tested if this was the case. Something for you to think about.
