A week (or so) back the President made an executive order that private hospitals could not turn away covid cases. Without sufficient PPE ACES may be able to dodge covid patients under the guise of Health abd Safety laws.

Personally I think ACES are D1ckhe@ds because 2 weeks ago they sent a covid patient to Holy Charge without telling they patient was symptomatic for the virus. Holy Child had to close part of the hospital for a period of time to disinfect. JMO

Correction: it was Silliman Hospital complained of that transfer. Ace is owned, I believe, by physician-investors.

Ace is owned at least partially, if not completely, by doctors, many are senior citizens. Most came from Silliman and some practice at both hospitals. Dr. Dipatado, the one who signed the Ace statement, is a Neurologist.

There are no cases we are aware of (unless I don't know what is going on locally) and the hospitals are at 'breaking point'? Hmmm.

EDIT: Just logged into read the local newspapers online and got the update I just said was missing (important points):

    Source: https://www.sunstar.com.ph/article/...f-first-Covid-19-mortality-in-Negros-dies-too

"THE sister-in-law of the first confirmed coronavirus disease (Covid-19) patient in Negros Oriental, known as PH39, died Tuesday, March 24, in a private hospital in Dumaguete City, three days after she was admitted for exhibiting flu-like symptoms.

It was not immediately known what had caused her death, as she died before her Covid-19 test result was released.

Capitol public information officer Bimbo Miraflor said the woman’s husband, also admitted at the hospital, was the older brother of PH39, who was a councilor of Tayasan, Negros Oriental.

Both she and her husband had close contact with PH39.

Meanwhile, 256 persons in Negros Oriental have manifested flu-like symptoms, while more than 4,000 asymptomatic persons are under monitoring.

The latest report available from the Provincial Epidemiology Surveillance Unit (Pesu) as of Monday afternoon showed that six patients are classified as having Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (Sari), while 10 are classified as having Moderate Acute Respiratory Infection (Mari).

Also, 240 others are with influenza-like illness (ILI) with mild symptoms.

The 240 ILI-Mild persons are spread out in the different cities and municipalities in the province, as follows: Ayungon, 12; Amlan, 29; Bacong, 4; Bais City, 0; Basay, 3; Bayawan City, 5; Bindoy, 33; Canlaon City, 14; Dauin, 11; Dumaguete City, 7; Guihulngan City, 1; Jimalalud, 11; La Libertad, 3; Mabinay, 1; Manjuyod, 2; Pamplona, 1; San Jose, 1; Siaton, 4; Sibulan, 9; Sta. Catalina, 3; Tanjay City, 4; Tayasan, 13; Valencia, 5; Vallehermoso, 9; Zamboanguita, 27; and all government and private hospitals, 28.

Persons who are asymptomatic and are under quarantine and monitored by city/rural health units have reached 4,123

Wow! What happened to the quest to save lives? Not what I would expect from a doctor.

If you are endangering many more people than you are helping are you really helping anyone?

I would suggest that they are endangering far more people by turning them away that they would be accepting them and providing what ever professional medical treatment and care that they have sworn to provide. Disgraceful in my view.
