There are no Fashion Police here so at least he will not be going to jail for his outfit.

PICK UP RAMMED AGAINST VAN AND MOTORCYCLE IN TALAY

A pick up truck driven by a Koren national rammed a van and motorcycle near a check point in Brgy Talay, Dumaguete City tonight.

Drivers were injured and brought to the hospital.

(This is what we know so far. We are waiting for official police report on the incident.)

The Korean National got drunk somewhere in Valencia and rammed a checkpoint in Talay, killing one female Filipina back rider on a motorcycle. This is reported on the Negor FB page. You can imagine some of the FB comments about drunken foreigners and they thought there was an alcohol ban etc. I didn’t think there was, is that true?). When people blame the alcohol, they give this guy a pass by allowing him to escape responsibility and blame the liquor. They drunken driver is responsible and probably will be given a life sentence in perpetua for this.

Probably depends on whether he can satisfy the deceased family's 'blood money' demands and pay everyone else for the damages, injuries, etc. For better or worse, everything is negotiable.

I expect the repercussions for this will linger on awhile. He was driving a truck worth 2M+ and to the looks of the photos, tried to run away until it was stuck. Let's see how this pans out, we got nothing else to do.
#stayathome Much safer in many ways now.

Yes, I’m not sure they allow private settlements like playing off the family anymore. I know they used to do that in the old days but these days it seems that they tend to follow the statute laws. Paying the family would be too easy and probably not such a big deal to someone from South Korea. I hope the family is given legal usurp process, not just money.

He definitely is an idiot, that cannot be disputed but I would like to bet he did not crash on purpose so what kind of care of him should be taken ? If it means they kill him then I think that is a tad severe.:dead:

In my country, a death resulting from drunken driving, intentional or not, can and often does result in a murder charge. So does one who kills another person (or pays for the murder) in revenge of such deaths. I suspect it is the same here.
