NMRN: A valid point with which I can agree, but i will tend to give the most credence to the LATEST research. I would also point out that the US is ONLY country "..worldwide.." where disagreements over f**kn face masks lead to shoving, fights and shootings, pathetic.. As one Brit friend said, "Americans have too much freedom, and don't know how to use it. "
How can you be so stupid. The first one is one no one can afford and required in intense contamination areas. The second one is affordable and quite useful if worn properly, when required such as around people who are not related to you and discarded properly after a short period of consistent use. Your stupid attempt to trivialize the ordinary face mask is disgusting and outright dangerous IMO.
You're making a lot of "attacky" observations, but maybe you're just missing the point of this particular post. He is right in that the first mask will prevent an infection, given other decontamination procedures and garments, proper fitment, and proper usage. The second mask will aid in preventing the spread of infection from an infected host, and potentially provide some small measure of protection from infection, but very little. I think it is just as dangerous for people to think they are safe with the second mask on as it is to pretend like the second mask doesn't help in some manner. If you are susceptible to infection, with a high risk of death due to secondary factors, please just avoid everyone, for your own good, unless you plan to follow bio-hazard facility decontamination measures. The second mask will do very little to keep you safe, but if others are wearing it, the spread will be curtailed.
Most people would agree that something is better than nothing. If you go back and look at the Meme. It says the surgical type mask is: This is the mind control device part of a pandemic PSYOP Some of us take the precautions in place seriously. Calling the mask part of a PSYOP is offensive.
I think there's a chance this fellow apparently denying science is just trolling. That's a relatively new concept I guess. But, science denial making a person stupid doesn't really fit. I am proud of people that denied the science of the day and believed the world was not flat. Personally, I tend to take what I'm told with a grain of salt until I've observed it myself.
As the Buddha said ''Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, no matter if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.”
