I don't see a word on the mayor about this yet. So I'll still be bringing my pass unless I hear that this will indeed be applied locally.
It only says no pass needed when going out of your house. Doesnt mean they have to let you into the store without one. this afternoon pass was still required at the hypermart. pretty crowded nevertheless.
It is yet for confirmation by the Governor. Went to Lee Hypermart today with the wife - we usually borrow a neighbour Q-pass to go together on allotted days. Didn't bother today following announcement, and guess what......first time EVER at Hypermart, was challenged for a Q-pass each. Been going there weekly since quarantine began. Anyway, I said to the the guard 'Have you not heard, passes no longer required from today following announcement by IATA (no idea if that's correct, as was winging it). He waved us through with that familiar glazed look in his eyes.
Good for you! And the way that information from not-necessarily-authoritative sources is taken as gospel truth and spread here, they have probably adjusted the store policy based on your statement and you've saved a lot of other folks some hassle! Luckily in this case the information was correct
Dumaguete City is still under an added control system, I don't think the rule above applies. The governor added the controls at the request of the mayor as I recall, thus putting us in a modified GCQ per EO. 2020-29B and to remain in effect until revoked. This document is still posted in the stickies.
See if it goes direct to the people from Manila, then it shows who is really the boss, but as we know most that wear the Barong here locally, need to be seen as the power brokers, so the order from Manila, has to be chewed and regurgitated as if it was a local decree, then the local sheep will hail them as the real leaders, and wonder how come no one from this Island rests their head on the Malacanang pillow, and here is a thought from what we have seen this last few months (what if the next leader was to come from our lot on this Island).........is that a sweeper flight i see before me
