Got the same email and it clearly say Region 7 of which we are a part of unfortunately. Don't know why they singled out those two areas, makes no sense. Then again, does any of this?

I don’t read it that way. I believe only those two cities and all the large cities remain on GCQ while the rest of the country goes to modified. The announcement came out too late for the stores to react, IF I am correct. Otherwise, a useless announcement.

    I don't know.
This says GCQ not Modified GCQ. It also says that only the IATF makes the decisions. (Reported today by Yes the Best.)

Negros Oriental will remain under general community quarantine (GCQ) until June 15, despite 11 new COVID-19 cases reported in the province this week.

He pointed out that only the national Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) can decide whether to tighten or relax community quarantine measures in Negros Oriental.

There is a manned checkpoint at Dgte/Sibulan border but they did not stop me on my motorbike. Looks like they were just watching for mask and helmet. Both Hypermart and Robinsons asked for my Q-Pass today.

No problem, agree to disagree. Now today they announce shipping company to begin travels to Cebu and back. Limited access of course, but still.

Intra Island travel still banned but not certain Inter Island travel. Seems like we are somewhere between GCQ and MGCQ depending on what side of the bed they got up on.

Decisions based on which way the bamboo is leaning that day I guess.

Again no problem, just heard on the news that Manila is reopening restaurants and allowing dine in, at about 50%. They had earlier reported this week, 2100 cases. We now have a whooping 11 or 13, yet no dine in and still under GCQ, for what it is worth.

Went out today and I believe the citizens are getting fed up too. Little eateries open and people sitting in there eating. There are some not wearing masks unless in crowded areas. Had the checkpoint going into the market, 2 people sitting in the tent, not a single person checked who was driving past them.

Maybe this has run its course but the Governor and Mayor haven't been out to take notice. I mean what is the difference from people getting take out and then going into the park and eating in public versus sitting at a restaurant outside and having a meal and a drink?

Could it be that from the north of Dgte it's more relaxed at the border on MWF's? Assuming that we are still following the MWF from the north rule & Tue_Thru_Sat from the south. Just guessing.

I declared my own rule, MWF to shop in Duma and all days ending in "day" to pass through as I am allowed to access the entire province under GCQ. The original plea from the mayor to governor was to control overcrowding downtown as i interpreted it. They must have forgot the National Road passes through the city. If they follow the rule of the palace, they must follow them all, cherry picking doesn't apply.
