I think we should leave that to the owners, we shouldn't speculate here and not even mention names. the owners have surely hard times and all what we can do if we like them and want them to exist in future is to support them as we can with buying their foods, if they offer take-out service.

    The COVID-19 nonsense.

Give it time. You can also check the local market as well. There was recently a brand new Mio 150 with ABS (same bike I paid P125k for a few months ago) that went for sale for 60k on Facebook. Not sure what that person was smoking...or if he desperately needed money to buy that something to smoke. Unfortunately I missed out on that one. Look around and negotiate, many people are desperate.

I am asking about a current situation and a general future view. If you translate that as speculation it is up to you. So not about the actions of the owners, that is their own decision.

If you have a restaurant just as an activity to be busy ur it is needed for your living makes a bit difference but not important for me. I never talked about that with the owners.

Further I am a regular customer of restaurants over there but if not existing anymore you can hardly eat there I suppose. The range of restaurants developed a lot in 20 years from nearly zero to what it was a few months ago so it takes time to recover.
And there were many new ones in a limited market so what is the change in the near future.

sorry, you were asking for certain restaurants mentioning their name. this cannot be considered as a general question. if you would own a restaurant, would you like to see here your name as a bankruptcy candidate? how would that make you feel? think. your question is not investigative in a general way, it is speculative.

Since when it's not allowed to put a question here and mentioning some names. If so the moderator should take action. I cannot remember you are the moderator.

I am not the Moderator but my parents taught me respect and discretion. A general question is from legal interest, name-dropping is gossip. I believe this forum is more for Facts than yellow press.

I think it is alright to name businesses if it is in the right context. Examples:
"How is *insert business name* doing during the quarantine?"

"Is *insert business name* offering carry-out to help mitigate the loss of sit-in customers?"

"I wish *insert business name* would offer carry-out or delivery."

The wrong way to go about dropping names would be speculation and unconstructive criticism. Remember that in the Philippines defamation is a criminal offense and what matters is the intent of your words, not if those words are factual or not. If your intent is to bring shame or bad repute to a person or business that could land you in some trouble. The line between defamation and giving a negative review/opinion that serves the public is a fuzzy one. The moderators here are not lawyers or judges nor are we mind readers capable of knowing your true intent but we will use our best judgement to remove what we feel are libelous and unfair comments towards a person or place of business.

OK, first casualty. Just got back from a little shopping trip. Don Atilano along the Blvd. across from Bo's coffee, being renovated for the JLH Butchers that will be moving in next week. No signs indicating they have relocated.

No income, hard to pay for the space and not to mention what happens when property taxes come due along with license renewals.

With yet another extension looming on the horizon it's highly likely Zak's Place will close , if only temporarily. At least until this is over and we return to a semblance of normality . I know of others in a similar situation but it's not for me to mention names.
I could continue baking, etc. From home if it's worth it . However we have a baby due in the next few weeks so I'll have to do something. I also have an assistant with a family. She's going to need help and I'll see what I can do but the immediate future's looking bleak.

    forget that last post.
After a lengthy discussion we have decided to persevere, for the time being anyway. Fish is starting to become a problem so it will be pork, chicken, beefburgers, curries, etc.
