You could get lucky...things seem to be different on Negros. I’m on Siquijor. Nothing ventured nothing gained. And as my mates say below, worth it. Good luck.

Have had a well now for 10yrs+. 120ft deep, water at 30ft submersible pump (DAB Italian Manufacture) suspended at 100ft. Water quality perfect. Have never touched submersible pump it only runs for 10 minutes to fill elevated BEST TANK 800l capacity. Elevated tank supplies pressure pump to pneumo bladder vessel at 30 / 60 psi by pressure switch. Pressure pump just a blue one, seen in all the hardware shops 1/2 HP. ( I installed the sub pump and did all plumbing / electrical for rest of system, house builder totally inept with anything other than sand / cement!)

Well drilling, obviously can't get water where there isn't any! Advise have borehole lined with ''plastic'' pipe as eventually GI pipe will rust. I have 2 x 100 micron filters in borehole pump discharge near to house with washable cartridge elements. I inspect clean filters about every 2/3 months only very very small sand debris and slight discolouration of filter elements). All easily removed by rinsing, I keep a few spare elements as overtime they deteriorate.

All I can say about drillers is as normal be prepared for untruths, shortcuts, substitution of inferior materials etc...the usual scams!

I am planning a pool and have no fears about the water supply or it's quality, best thing I ever did completely independent. Will soon pull submersible pump just to inspect, contemplating purchasing a spare one. My pump is rated for 60HZ supply. You don't neccessarily require a submersible pump a JET type pump can deliver same and be situated above ground. Jet pump will require smaller well lining tube, my sub pump lining is 4''. Pump outside Diam approx 3 3/4''. I purchased my Sub Pump from Europe and bought out hand carry.

Do you have a point on your well? A friend gave me interesting advice. Take an air hose and clamp a one foot pipe into the end of the hose. Run the hose down to the point. Put a wet rag over the well cap and hold it tight against the air hose while someone kicks on the air compressor. Hold the rag tight for a minute against the cap. Step back and let it blow the hose out of the well. Water shot out of my well 10 or 15 feet before settling. Do this once more. What this is supposed to do is create a pool at your well point and keeps the pebbles and sediment out of your well pipe. My well was 40 ft. I lived on a wildlife marsh. The well was full of rust. I kept a syphon barrel off the well pump treated with chemicals to eliminate rust. I used it only to water my grass and gardens. It was nice to have.

Yep. Done that several times. Even hired the town Fire Engine once as they have decent compressors. Our problem is basically we are on an underground river. We regularly pull small frogs or tiny fish out when well cleaning. Thus, when it rains quite a lot of crap gets washed down to any point we might have created. As there is a reservoir of sorts somewhere on the land pump 2 is going down late July/August. We figure we might have found it this time.

Why 2 wells? Um, we are supplying a couple of resorts, some private residents and the general populous when their baranguay supply packs up/goes dry. From kids Shrink to Hydrologist when in the Phils. Everyday is a school day!

    cheers for the tip.
