If i may ask a few questions from some of our enlightened members.. I am wondering about this swab test thing that takes 2 or 3 days to get results, not the rapid test. I believe this test identifies the presence of antibody's in the throat and respiratory tract.. My question is, does this test identify that the person has just caught the virus? Or only say there are antibody's. I am sure there would be antibody's present in a persons swab sample after getting over the disease/illness.. What i am getting at is we are filling hospitals, quarantine sites with people who maybe are over the illness and possibly didn't even know they had it and passed it off as a common cold or flu.. Another question i have is the amount of information being fed to us which in my opinion is useless numbers.. What i want to be concerned with are the number of people who require hospitalization because off excessively high fevers or inability to breath and the number of those individuals that pass away from Covid-19, never mind the high blood pressure, diabetes, pneumonia and heart attacks and stroke.. I believe that we are never going to find the real numbers because the inability of the government to test a large percentage of the population. Just a snippet i was reading something on FB where some government official in France or Spain said one of the largest city's in the country probably has 80% of the population had the virus and didn't even know it or like i said above passed if off as a cold or flu. I know to take FB with a grain of salt but somehow i tend to believe this 80% result.. That is right up there with herd immunity..
Basically you have things a bit mixed up. The swab test is to determine if you have the virus active in your nasal passages and/or throat It has nothing to do with anti bodies which exist in your blood and require a blood test to determine that. If the swab test is positive you have Coroa, not you have had it. It means it is active in you. If you test positive for the antibodies, a blood test, it basically means you did have it and have got over it. As for your other question, I think it best to reply that if the hospital attributes death due to Corona it means that if you hadnt caught it you would more than likely still be walking around outside hopefully with your blody mask on.
