i just got billed from atm and some charge from bancnet or landmark bank, and it was 035 also. but i almost got ripped off by china bank before for 200$, they kept running me around until i told them i wanted managers name and will charge her with theft, low and behold i got home and checked my bank account and they had returned the money. i dont trust any of them, dont let them bullshit you, threaten to file charges, it is theft pure and simple, and when they say its there policy just say bull sh*t and your policy is more important then theirs
It happened to me already a couple of times when using an atm and no cash was given while my account was debited. The most simple way to solve the problem go back to the bank and show them a print screen of my bank account (only necessary when not your own bank of course) and the transaction slip of the atm, if any has been given. Next step is to log a complaint by completing a designated document to be provided by the bank. So far always within 5 banking days the refund has been executed. Though rather annoying, never had any problems like described as aforementioned.
035 is the number that identifies Land Bank Dumaguete on bancnet's ripoff program. LandBank will be on my list for as long as I live. The ATM you are talking about must be the one next to the parking lot in front of Valencia's city hall. It is more fun in Dumaguete where big corporations can ripoff tens of thousands of pesos from disabled senior citizens and get away with it. Land Bank can kiss my old, wrinkled up dingle ball infested all the way up to the brown! I am ashamed to say how much they ripped from my account. Can you say "crooks"? Security Bank is not much better.
So I have to praise myself lucky that I did never use an ATM of these 2 banks and as from now will stay away from these two banks as if they have the black plague.......!! Banks who are no crooks and made the refund are Metro bank , Commerce Bank, BPI and PNB, the one I can still remember and some other, forgot their names, no longer in my memory, but also reliable.
I pull cash out of that ATM fairly regularly. I've heard people complain but never had an issue personally. I highly doubt it is a scam, just incompetence and crappy software and hardware.
It happens everywhere, every country. Its a simple machine failure, they do go faulty sometimes you know, and the software and mechanical set-up is such that when the bank does a reconciliation it is clear if the machine dispensed the cash ot not. This does not just happen in the Philippines.
This is true but when this same ATM operated by the same bank (Land Bank) has the same problem at this ATM for many months and it is not fixed. It makes for a bank that smells a lot like CROOKS. I am thinking if they KNOW that this ATM has a problem and chose NOT to fix it after many months, they are happy to be ripping off the money from people that do not keep an eye on their accounts. Be aware all banks know that most banks have a limit (in days) to file a dispute. After which the offending bank gets to KEEP your money. Security did just that by delaying me until the clock ran out on me and they got away with my money. Be warned if you see a problem on your account DO NOT DELAY file a dispute with your bank immediately. If you do not the clock will run down and you will be out your money.
