Real bread in Dumaguete

Peter is indeed delivering bread all over the area on his motorbike. He services south to Dauin, north to Sibulan, west to Valencia. He is swamped with orders, and is enjoying good recognition for his work. He uses local premium bleached and whole wheat flours, and fresh milk in his whole wheat bread. He has an assortment of rolls and Sweet rolls called Berliners. He makes a lye bun and lye pretzels. The pretzels are authentic German style soft pretzels.
We are ordering his breads for our own comsumption, and will offer them here at our Taclobo Dumaguete location on an order one day pick up the next basis. This will help Peter consolidate his trips as he has become so busy. We also will start stocking his great pretzels to eat with a cold beer at our store. If you prefer or are out of town Peter will gladly deliver to your door.

Hi..I am new to Dumaguete...from Australia.....can anyone tell me if there is available bread making flour ,yeast etc if i wanted to bring my breadmaker here???

 

YY trading near the market has everything you need to bake anything, however true bread flour tends to be a little coarser than the cake and pastry flour they sell here. (for my taste). They do have a halfway decent whole whet flour, yeasts salt, and anything else you might need to bake.
Still looking for a good semilina flour.

Had a nice long chat with Peter today when he made his delivery. He has some great plans for the future with some new products. I ordered some of his Lye buns today, these are amazing if you like the pretzel taste in a soft roll. like eating a soft pretzel without the twist! We may try a pizza based on Peters offerings very soon, tonight we will be the test rats, concocting some pizza experiments on ourselves.

I used to buy bread from a foreigner a little ways up the coast where I used to live. It was delicious bread, I used to buy and eat it all the time....

Than one day, the feller invited me to come on over while he was doing his bread baking, so I did, and I got to watch the hairiest human being on Negros Island, shirtless and sweating, kneading and baking that there delicious bread.

I never bought another loaf.
