    I don't know.
    Yes.
This is where there is a misunderstanding. They do not force a cell to make the whole of a new virus particle.

The instructions instruct existing normal cells to add the spike onto their surface. Then the instructions are destroyed. Our immune systems recognize that the spike protein doesn’t belong there and begin building an immune response and making antibodies.

This only happens to a small number of cells because the messenger instructions are destroyed when the cell uses them.
It does not code for the entire virus particle. Only the spike which gets added to a few normal cells.

This is one of the advantages because the immune system does not get trained for all of the other external features of the virus particle.

I have read about the mechanism now and crucially the mRNA from the vaccine is entering the immune cells (not generally the body's cells) and causing them to manufacture a protein spike against which the body then build antibodies that work against the Covid-19 virus (until such time as that virus mutates its own protein spikes!) without having the harmful effects of the virus.

Sounds good and lower risk (IMO) than live attenuated or killed virus as the mechanism.

But I would need to be sure of exactly what mRNA it contains and what genes it has other than the code for the protein spike. There may be some need for 'assistance' to the spike production and I need to read more about that (I am getting fatigue the same as most!). But thanks for your input here - it is based on reading and facts and it is clear you are not getting this from Facebook!

The caveat still remains, though, that virus mutation could easily make this vaccine-type, any vaccine-type, ineffective and produce more-virulent viruses - so my opinion to protect ourselves and our close ones would remain whatever vaccines are produced and until such times as cases are at zero over a prolonged period of time. I think this very essential at a time of great uncertainty over the direction the virus is taking.

#NewsBite: It's official for now—Negros Occidental will not be reopening its borders with Negros Oriental anytime soon.
In a Zoom meeting with Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson on Wednesday, Negros Occidental mayors moved to not reopen its borders with Negros Oriental, because Oriental now has more active COVID-19 cases than Occidental.
However, Negros Oriental provincial spokesperson Bimbo Miraflor said that they are set to meet with officials from the Negros Occidental Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) to discuss border issues.
“While there are some quarters who disagree with the proposal (to reopen the borders) we will try to iron out things tomorrow on possible protocols and procedures that can be applied during the reopening of the borders,” he said.
Governor Roel Degamo, on the other hand, wants to reopen the borders with strict protocols being implemented, Miraflor added.

I did a count off the updated map and Occidental has 239, we have 205. But Bacolod had 72 cases and Duma has 107.

Since you think it doesn't matter, why ask questions? What were Bacolod and IloIlo's highest case counts versus their populations? What are they now?

How did my question go from "what does it matter" to the statement "it doesn't matter"? What statement are you going to change that question into? What about that one? What about this one? Crap. I have no idea what all these questions are going to be turned in to. I'm sure you can tell me what I meant. I eagerly await your reply so I can know what I said.

And matter matters because without it we would not exist and so could not ask what matters.
