Do you pay extra for a dedicated IP address from PLDT? If not then you are sharing your IP address(es) with a bunch of other users. This can change frequently.

Are you saying this is when you check your IP address at different times or at the same time using different checkers? I read that PLDT (unlike Globe) uses static IP addresses so would expect it always to be the same. Over to the experts on this one.

Whenever You are connected to the Internet always you have two ip addresses. your public ip and your private ip. Your IP address has to be unique for you to access Internet.

For example, if you have multiple computers within your home you may want to use private IP addresses to address each computer within your home. In this scenario, your router get the public IP address, and each of the computers, tablets and smartphones connected to your router get a private IP address from your router via DHCP protocol.

So Your private ip address must be unique within your router connection. but it can be the same as outside one. But your public ip always be unique all over the world.

To know your public ip address visit this link :

This is how it works. Lookup NAT.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Network_address_translation

Network address translation (NAT) is a method of remapping an IP address space into another by modifying network address information in the IP header of packets while they are in transit across a traffic routing device.[1] The technique was originally used to avoid the need to assign a new address to every host when a network was moved, or when the upstream Internet service provider was replaced, but could not route the networks address space. It has become a popular and essential tool in conserving global address space in the face of IPv4 address exhaustion. One Internet-routable IP address of a NAT gateway can be used for an entire private network.
