I just had a bunch of tile laid. My wife's brother and uncles own their own business and did it. I can figure out a contact number if you want to talk to them.
Insist they use tile putty and not concrete when you do find the worker. In my builds I also 1st had laid water-proof bathroom concrete (It's white btw) just an added layer of value and protection from any un-foreseen water leaks.
I googled tile putty and not finding much. Is this it? https://www.homedepot.com/p/Durham-...VXD2tBh1PswUJEAQYASABEgKISPD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds Is your statement above specific to bathrooms or the entire house?
He meant tile adhesive. Here it is common to glue down tiles with sand-cement without soaking the tiles instead of the more expensive tile adhesive. Many have complained on this forum about tiles popping up. Here is an article of tile adhesive vs sand-cement. https://www.in.weber/blog/advantage...use-tile-adhesive-lay-tiles-what-are-benefits
